You don't need to worry about me asking any more questions on this sub-forum.

I googled and got a good answer from another forum where people were interested in the same question. No one found it bizarre or had an attitude, either.

Great Aloha Spirit on here!

Many of the houses in Wahiawa have fireplaces. It's the ideal location on Oahu IMHO..

There is not a lack of fireplaces on Oahu - when the older houses of Nuuanu and Manoa were built, it was clearly the style or perhaps a status symbol to have a fireplace whether or not it was practical or not.

Thank you! I appreciate it.

I am very ignorant about Hawaii. LOL.

I just don't like excessive humidity.

Sounds like a neat spot. I will check that place out. It's high elevation, right?

It's less than 1,000 ft.

I think you should check out the dry side of Waimea on the Big Island. (2600 ft.)

Wahiawa is an interesting place in many ways. If you should focus on Oahu PM me .

Thank you!

There is all this back-and-forth between what island is best. I don't know one island from another (I didn't even know the names of them all lol).

I am not that interested in island hopping. If I come, I will be in in Oahu only.

I just don't like extreme humidity; but that, I suppose, won't stop from liking all these interesting things this state seems to offer.

Oahu is not the Island to visit if you are only going to stay on one island! You might as well visit San Diego and save a lot of money. Although there are some places on the North Shore that are nice, the island has a huge city that is not much different than any coastal city, horrendous traffic, and all of the big city problems. If you really want to get a feeling for what Hawaii is about, I suggest that you visit the BigIsland or Kauai. Maui is too influenced by the mainlanders who moved there and lost a lot of its culture,

If you've never been, I'm wondering how you've acquired the impression that Hawaii has extreme humidity, because it doesn't. These conditions are rarely seen, in some confined areas within approximately 1,000 elevation of the coast during atypical weather conditions. The gentle to strong trade winds moderate what heat and humidity there is, which is nothing compared to many places on mainland US.
