Wow the offensive and downright discrimination to even have a thread like this is disgusting. We are going to have to start making new laws to protect obese people from discrimination.

If you don't like the way a person looks on the TV then switch stations.

I am fit, have never been fat ever, do not like where society is heading regarding weight, and am a bit of a food nazi... but still I don't know what the OP is talking about regarding being bombarded with commercials featuring fat people. In fact in NYC I can only think of ONE commercial, and I noticed it because I do notice these things. (It's a commercial for the NY Lottery, some fat guy jumping into a bunch of balls, the sort that kids play in at the carnival.)

I suspect the OP is just being a rabble-rouser here, and has picked an easy target.

I am glad that you feel comfortable robbing taxpayers because of your selfishness. If you don't want to lose weight for the benefit of overall public health you should want to do it for your own well being.
You sound like a person who is very unhappy about something in her life, who is poking sticks at fat people because it is something you can feel good about. I may be XYZ but at least I'm not fat! and I suspect that is the point of the thread. (Single and lonely? Troubles at work? Family problems?) Let's be honest, you don't care about health care costs... that's something everyone pulls out of the old hip pocket to booster their own needs.

Trust me when I say you are only making yourself look bad here... and you are hearing this from a person who again is not fat, has never been fat, and never will be fat (barring some unforeseen medical issue).
