I have had this problem for over two yrs. It can happen mostly with the hands or feet. Symptoms are Tingling, Burning,Numbness,Cramps, Muscle Weakness and finally a fingernail deforming in growth.
I had spinal surgery in 2008 (Laminectomy) which is considered minor for spinal surgery.
I do have all the above symptoms listed but am not getting any relief from my provider. There is NO pills that I'm aware of since it is a Nerve function problem.
Took all of 18 months after my surgery to get rid of the initial numbness in the right side that has slowly returned on a low level. This minor thing I can live with but the major problem is with the swollen foot/numbness that makes it difficult to walk/stand and feel my foot on the gas or brake pedal when driving. Feels like I have a pillow at the end of my leg that goes half way to my knee. Recently have had a slight numbness/cramping in the toes of the left foot upon waking up in the morning that after a few mins will ease up.
Guess I've complained enough here already. Just wondering if anyone else has now or in the past a similiar problem and any positive results.
