Rockrchick-The same is the problem with me.since 2 months i was facing this trouble of itching and in rare cases even lip swelling.. I thought it would be a food allergy though i haven't experienced any allergies till that first reaction.i was literally worried a lot and that later repeated 3_4 times. At the same time parallelly i used to get rash on my inner thighs and under knee joint but i neglected it thinking that it would be due to sweating or some bacteria and habituated to some anti-fungal powders and creams..but now a days it has been very frequent and irritating and now i can correlate the lip swelling and allergy are the results of same problem..so did you get any solution for this..please help me with this trouble..i seriously wanted to know the reason why this happens to us

I have had the same thing for a year now. I have seen 3 derms and 4 allergists. I too was told it was dermagraphic uticaria Finally they did a skin punch test on me and a skin patch test on my back. I was then dx with spongiotic dermatitis with eczema. The skin patch test showed what I was reacting to. Find some good doctors who will run these tests.

My mom has this. She itches all over from head to toe. She washes her whole body with baby shampoo, her hair everything. It's gotten to the point where she has taken Benadryl or prednisone and it does nothing. She plans to see a doctor soon. She was trying her own remedies first. She's never had it this bad before.

I went thru gosh maybe 2 or 3 months or non stop itching,it was horrible.........

I dunno what caused it but I was glad when it finally let up! (This was a couple years back) I thought it might be cat scratch fever as I used to get scratched sometimes by my kitty........

Whatever it was im glad it went away!!
