New health craze...I thought about putting this in the Food and Drink section.

I'm going out to get some bones!
Toss in some onions, carrots, celery or mushrooms, garlic...and start drinking this all day!
It claims it is good for about every ailment around....leaking gut, joint
issues +... hair, nails, skin improve.

Was featured on Good Morning America..."Brodo" is a small street/ window cafe in NY
selling this instead of coffee.
A girl said it fixed her digestive problems.
Lots of minerals in there.

Organic, of course...chicken or beef...like stock in a restaurant...you would cook it for
maybe 10 hours in a huge pot with a lid.

I know Martha Stewart would broil the bones a bit to get
the broth darker and more flavorful.

I also have been reading about bone broth....I have Celiac Disease so the articles caught my attention because of the claim that the broth helps those with digestive issues. Sounds interesting - after the holidays I will give it a try.

I've gone through periods of making and consuming bone broth, as well as gelatin. Frankly, I did not see any difference in taking that stuff. I personally think it's so much hype.

That's what I've always called it.

I made some chicken bone broth last weekend.
When I make beef bone broth I'll roast the bones first.

Read some articles ... mine cooked all day today, wow...since I know herbs
and spices it is too good!
I'm hooked...going to the grass fed store so close by I could walk.
I'll give it a month to see any benefits....but I would imagine it would fill me up
so I would lose a couple pounds in the process. Can't beat getting more minerals.
Better than munching on potato chips!!!

I always brown the bones in any soup anyway ... I had a deep dark broth.
Had veggies, some bacon...and many other things in there for flavor....I'm
in love with it.

Soup could cook for a couple hours or way less...Bone broth is more like 15-18 hours
to pull 'everything' outta the bones, smartalics.
Broth is not soup and stock is a base for soups and stock is not 'this'
18hour broth, either. So there.

I was making it in my crock pot - let bones go for 48 hours (beef). It does make a tasty base for soups if you are into it. If I had a nearby source for organic bones I would do it more, but I don't so I don't make it much anymore.
