See your family physician.

I agree 100%. I HAD a friend who got sharp pains in his stomach and intestines one day. His wife took him to the doctor. The doctor sent him to the hospital. He had a leak in his intestines that was causing internal infections. To make a long story short, it was very bad and he passed away in a coma after being in the hospital for two weeks undergoing multiple surgeries. Go see your doctor.

Yeah, it was crazy! However, here I am now, a few days later, and haven’t experienced any sharp pains and even the cramping has subsided. I’m not sure what it was, but it seems to have run it’s course.

I would agree 100% with a doctor visit if the pain continued, but since it only lasted a short time, I do not think it could have been a serious infection—it’s my understanding that the pain would not have subsided if that were the case.

Hello! I’m wondering if someone on here can help me, or if someone has possibly experienced the same thing...last night, I was just doing normal activities when all of a sudden I had the most horrible pelvic pain (really embarrassing, but like a shooting pain around the anus and vagina) as well as both sharp pain and achy cramps in my mid to lower abdomen. It hurt to move and even sit down. After about 45 minutes, the pain started to lessen to more of a crampy ache. Today, the pelvic pain has subsided but my lower abdomen has been cramping and it seems to have moved up to between my upper middle abdomen radiating sometimes to my mid to lower abdomen. I’m not sure what it could be and not sure if I need to see a doctor (or even what doctor I would contact).

As an FYI, I have stomach ulcers, am on iron supplements for low ferretin, and recently stopped taking my birth control pill...I used to suffer from ovarian cysts before starting birth control but I do not remember them feeling like this; it was mainly just a lot of painful cramps during my menstrual cycle.

If anyone has any information, it would be greatly appreciated!!
Go see your doc, NOW!

I’ve read that taking iron supplements while sick can cause constipation because of the charge (essentially feeding the bacteria). I’m just now getting over a cold so there’s a high probability that this is what it was!
