I have asthma, and when I got the new cat litter that was supposed to control odors better, each day it got harder and harder to breathe. I finally realized it was the cat litter. I went back to using a plain fragrance-free cat litter, and no more breathing problem.

Avoid the cat litter labeled "unscented" as they use a masking fragrance that can trigger breathing problems. It needs to say "fragrance-free".

If I had a cat, I'd use crushed walnut shells for the cat litter.

I only use it now, for a dehumidifier in my cars. Keeps the inside windshields dry.

When I was young, I was diagnosed as being "allergic".

I later re-diagnosed myself as "hypersensitive", something where I was able to create a desensitization procedure. Part of which was to take up cigarette smoking, as an immersion rather than an avoidance strategy.

I'm so desensitized now that some people accuse me of being "insensitive". Tell you what - even they don't bother me.

I buy it cheaper than this, fill my socks, tie them off, and put one on each of the dashboards of my cars.

Now I don't have to squeegee the condensations off my car windows. They stay dry now.

Traps my tobacco smoke, too.
