I cant help but wonder how much life we are all wasting hiding from COVID-19.
Could we be hiding from the inevitable in the long run?
What is up with these Asian bats?
"The death rate for Nipah virus is up to 75% and it has no vaccine. While the world focuses on Covid-19, scientists are working hard to ensure it doesn't cause the next pandemic."
"Nipah virus (NiV) is a zoonotic virus, meaning that it can spread between animals and people. Fruit bats, also called flying foxes, are the animal reservoir for NiV in nature. Nipah virus is also known to cause illness in pigs and people. Infection with NiV is associated with encephalitis (swelling of the brain) and can cause mild to severe illness and even death. Outbreaks occur almost annually in parts of Asia, primarily Bangladesh and India.
Nipah virus infection can be prevented by avoiding exposure to sick pigs and bats in areas where the virus is present, and not drinking raw date palm sap which can be contaminated by an infected bat. During an outbreak, standard infection control practices can help prevent person-to-person spread in hospital settings."

"No matter what brand you buy, you can be confident that the US Department of Agriculture does not allow any pork or pork products to enter our country from China."
A Chinese company bought Smithfield Farms, the nation's largest seller of pork products, and they are now exporting a lot of pork to China. This is another example of why we should not allow Chinese investors to buy up American companies. They don't even allow Americans to buy their companies. They're smarter than we are.
