Just wash your hands, people. I've never heard of any reports that soap and water cause cancer.
It does, however, cause my hands to become cracked and severely dried out, even while using hand lotion to rehydrate. I had open sores on both hands for a while.

Ouch! It sounds like you may have been washing way too much. If you're mostly at home, you don't need to wash your hands often, but regardless, you have to wash them sometimes. You can't just do nothing but use sanitizer...it doesn't remove dirt.

My wife had the same problem with many soaps. Try changing your soap. Natural bar soaps with chamomile or calendula are very good for the skin. They work just as well as any other for washing away germs. She no longer has problems no matter how many times she washes her hands. Pure aloe vera gel is good to use after if you still have problems.

Same here. That is the only time I use hand sanitizer in case I absentmindedly touch my face (eyes, nose, mouth) where a virus can enter the body before I get somewhere to wash my hands thoroughly. I was doing that before covid.
