me too, although, I never seem to see them anymore in medical facilities. Maybe too much upkeep?

Magazines were hit & miss. Sometimes, there'd be a good one to read. Since COVID, all magazines have been taken out which is a bummer bc they help pass time.

My dentist's waiting room just isn't the same w/o National Geographic.

My dentist is a mountain-climbing and adventure enthusiast and the waiting room magazines reflect that; Outside, Climbing, Mens Health, NatGeo, etc. My dermatologist has Good Housekeeping, Redbook and such and the TV tuned to Fox News with volume turned up with no remote. I unplugged it last visit.

I want NO TV, no clutter, and nice soft music. An aquarium is a nice touch. One thing I always notice is if the furniture and decor is attractive and updated. In other words, does the doctor care about the patients waiting area, or is he just there to rake in the money without regard for the patients comfort.

Both my husband and I have not gone back to certain doctors, when their office was a dump.

I also don’t like when the whole waiting room can hear everything that the receptionist says.

But now, you don`t know if it`s a man or women in that swimsuit, that you are looking at.

I can't even tell what my doctor's office looks like normally but at Christmas, they go all out. It looks like something you would see in the windows of the major department stores in NYC. The doctors give their employees the day after Thanksgiving off with pay and they come in and decorate. They do a wonderful job and I appreciate it.

The survey is missing a choice for "Don't care".

The doctor's office I go to now is part of a university medical practice, and there is virtually nothing of that sort in the waiting room. I generally have a book, tablet, and my phone with me. On the other hand, I almost never have a significant wait, which I appreciate.

The decorations? Not something I pay much attention to.

I've never noticed a single thing in the doctors office.

I care more that he or she is on time. I could care less about plants or magazines.

My dermatologist had a ridiculous build out, glass blown lamps hanging from the ceiling, sculptured carpet etc.

She did a big flat screen tv with a fish tank scene on a loop/replay. Fantastic idea and way way way cheaper than a real tank! It was built into the wall so it didn't look like a tv on a bracket.
