The second Moderna shot made me experience what I would call a condensed bad cold that began about 12 hours after I got the shot. Where most colds typically run their course in 5-7 days, this one rolled through with all the symptoms in the same order but condensed into 24 hours. The first twelve felt like the onset of the cold and the second twelve felt like recovery from one. If only all colds were like that!
With that in mind, I just had my booster first thing this morning, so if I do experience the condensed cold again, the worst of it will mostly be over night, and I can just take some Tylenol and sleep through it. We'll see how I do with this strategy.
I just got my Moderna booster yesterday around lunch and I had side effects very similar to my second shot, which I had 8 months ago. I was hoping that since the Moderna booster is a half dose, the effects would be less, but that was not the case for me.
My side effects started about 5 hours post shot with arm soreness and by bedtime I had moderate muscle aches, chills and a mild headache. No fever.
Had mine a couple of weeks ago. Sore injection spot for a day, that's it.
Yeah, my husband got the Moderna booster too and he said he only felt a tiny bit sore at the injection site. But then again, he never seems to have reactions. Hope he has an immune system! (Kidding!)
I had the Moderna booster and I had a sore arm with a slight fever, but not as bad as my reaction to the 2nd shot when I had fever and chills and aches.
My husband got the booster in one arm and the flu shot in the other and had no reaction.
Like other posters really nothing to complain about. My wife's booster shot caused a sore arm for three days with a little swelling and 2" plus red circle.

I got a Moderna booster a couple months ago. I had no issues.
Well, not counting that I now have an urge to run around yelling, "Baaa, baaa."
