So does Mrs. NBP. Sometimes it looks like I've beat her around and all she did was hit her shoulder on a door frame or her leg on the coffee table or scratched a mosquito bite.

Not much of a home remedy then.

Is that the same as senile purpura? That's what came up on google when I searched this week. I get them now and then too, always on my right arm, same place. Would like to hide those too along with the age spots.

I think senile purpura is the term for what happens when the dark purple ecchymoses start appearing on your hands or forearms.

Go to a local African or Black American beauty supply store and pick up organic pure shea butter or cocoa butter. They aid in the hydration of the skin and reduction of hyperpigmentation of the age spots.

I have used wart remover ointment; applying for several days to the brown spot until the skin gets tender and shriveled and then I peel off that top layer of derma. It works, but takes a while to heal.

I had a big brown spot near my upper lip, and some skin tags on my eyelid. I bought one of those hand-held devices that burn them off. It leaves a scab for a couple of days, but now the spot and the skin tags are gone.

Remember when they sold Porceilana? (sp.) - not clue if it's still sold or ever worked.

Porcelana is still on the market. As for if it works, that's a big question mark.
