An article said a dermatologist can freeze the spot. I guess we all could do the same in principal by applying an ice cube to the affected area. I've got several but one in particular is in a bad place. Thanks.
Prevention is key to brown age spots. Stay out of the sun. Since I didn’t follow my own advice, I have them everywhere. I have WAY too many to freeze off, although, I do freeze the ones on my face. I just pretend they aren’t there.

I think they must have meant freezing off a spot by using liquid nitrogen on it. I doubt an ice cube would do much of anything.
I just saw a youtube video on brown spots, the doctor said exfoliate, then use a brightening cream, one he suggested was called White Lucent by Shiseido, but he said any of them at a pharmacy work, and use a retinol cream.
My dermatologist told me to get a concoction from a compounding pharmacy and that I should apply the cream to my face and leave it there for four days.
He also said it's likely to hurt like holy heck.
But I do have significant sun damage and he thinks this will burn it off.
Wait until you're on blood thinners and just scratching your arm creates a big reddish purple blotch.
Shucks, I get that all the time already without blood thinners and/or scratching my arm. The reddish-purple blotches are called ecchymoses.
