There are different types of ovarian cysts, some are functional

Which just mean they come and go with your cycle and usually go away on their own.
Then there are those that don't like endometriomas that require surgery.
Here is a good link on ovarian cysts.

That looks like a good combo.I take 1000 mg vitamin c. 1000 mg of Calcium,
Herbal Omega-3 fatty acids, drink lots of soy milk, soy products. I drink soy milk with my cereal. I do T.M. meditation. Walk a lot in the morning. I hear that a woman after 45 it's best to walk in the morning so that you can sleep better at night.

Liz, loved those 7 dwarves!

Hi, dragonten, welcome to H&W. I tried the natural route, but it didn't seem to work for me, unfortunately. Everybody's different and we all need to try to find what works for us. It's an interesting life, that's for sure! I swear, if God were a woman, these things wouldn't happen!

LOL - where do you think my "snow dance" came from - I'm the one who caused the blizzard in NE Penna in 2005!

Amazon.com: What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About(TM): Premenopause, Balance Your Hormones and Your Life from Thirty to Fifty: Books: John Lee,Jesse Hanley,Virginia Hopkins

This is the best book on the subject IMHO.

I started using progesteron cream and it has helped tremendously.

I am a bit jealous
I can't take any hormones, not even the phyto-hormones like what are in yams and soy, I try to keep it natural, as I do not need any more chemicals in my body.
But the vitamins, walking, and yoga, seem to be doing the trick...and I have no ovaries, at all.
I am in meno-stop

H&W = Health and Wellness.

I started exercising, and that really has helped with the weight. I've even lost 17 lbs since the beginning of this year, even tho my dr. said some of the meds I've been on would put weight on me. So, if you're fairly careful with diet and exercise, you're set.
