I'm just under 5'7" and I think my highest weight was somewhere in the mid-150's, I was 22, miserable in love life, and a total slacker.
The extra weight dwindled away as I "found myself" (career etc) and I settled into the 120s.
However the past couple years I've had *unintentional* weight loss and right now I am somewhere between 110 and 114.
It is a little worriesome, but I was a really skinny kid, and I wonder if maybe I am just losing estrogen and reverting back to my pre-puberty days.
Highest weight: 183 when pregnant
Lowest weight: 128 when stressed out by job and living situation
Current weight: about 147
Happiest weight: 140
Height: 5' 9"
IMO, I don't think people need to be so hung up on what the scale reads.
I haven't stepped on a scale for years. I'd rather use my clothes as a "weight" indicator.
Food for thought: Keep in mind that a woman weighing 150 pounds with 19% fat will look much smaller (and be much healthier) than a woman at 150 pounds with 35% fat. They weigh the same, yet the composition is different. Because muscle is more dense than fat the person with less fat and more muscle will look smaller.
People need to stop being so obsessed with body weight and start paying attention to body composition. How much body fat do you have compared to muscle? Simply seeing how much you weigh isn't very helpful.
It also helps to understand and have some knowledge between the ratio and percentages of body fat.
For me, stepping on a scale is pointless.
I'm 5'10 and I strength train on a daily basis. And yes, I have muscles......lol
BTW, I'm not referring to anyone in this thread, it's just an observation.
I'm 6'5. I was incredibly skinny (not just thin but SKINNY) growing up despite having the appetite of a horse. It was genetic. Then I made a concerted effort to gain weight, did it, but it was the wrong type of weight. Now, my metabolism has slowed down from it's hyper-speed, and I'm more educated about how to properly take care of my body.
Lowest - 165 lbs. junior year of high school (and I was already 6'5) and later
again after a bout with E.coli freshman year of college.
Highest - 230 lbs. - a few months after college graduation, incredibly depressed for a variety of reasons, lazy, and it was the winter
Most comfortable weight - around 205 lbs but muscled. Since I'm so tall, 5 lbs. doesn't make much of a difference on me and I can gain/lose a few just in one (lack of) meal, so I generally try to just stay between 200-210 lbs.
Current - 210 lbs. in decent shape but trying to get more muscled. I'm coming off of a "lazy stretch" and getting back into better shape.
