Here's what Wiki says in their article about Elliott County:

Elliott County has voted for the Democratic Party's nominee in every Presidential election since it incorporated in 1869. This is the longest ongoing streak of any county voting Democratic in the United States.

It should be noted that Brooks County was founded in 1911. This is what give Elliot a longer streak. Wikipedia has been known to not be consistent within itself.

This has spurred a new question: How many states went solid blue or solid red in the last presidential election (meaning every county went completely one or the other)? List the color and state. What state suprisingly did not go all blue?

According to the maps Ive found, the states that were all blue in both 04 and 08 were Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Hawaii. All red was Oklahoma.

In 08 alone, it is all New England states except Maine going all blue, as well as Hawaii. Oklahoma was all red, as was Alaska, which does not have counties or county equivalents. The only New England county that went McCain was Piscataquis, Maine, which went red by 355 votes.

If I am correct in North Dakota President Obama carried every single municipality by a sizeable lead.

I don't know of a site that covers specific municipalities, but here is link to a map that details county election data from the 2008 presidential election:

President Map - Election Results 2008 - The New York Times

As far as North Dakota goes, Fargo and Grand Forks' respective counties went blue but Bismarck's went red. North Dakota as a whole went red.

Once again, Jtur nails it. The odd occurence I was referring to was that Delaware, Joe Biden's home state with only 3 counties, did not go solid blue. Suffolk, the southernmost of the 3 went red.

Similarly, two Illinois counties only 40 miles from Chicago (Ford and Iroquois) voted 64-34 for McCain. That is closer than Suffolk county is to Biden's Wilmingtn.

There are 17 countries that share a border with only one other country. Name them.

OK just off the top of my head, Canada, Haiti, Dominican Rep, Ireland, United Kingdom. Portugal, South Korea, Qatar, Lesotho, Gambia, Yemen, Denmark, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste.

Do we count ones like San Marino, Vatican, Monaco.

Or those that border on disputed territory, like Cyprus? Now that there is a bridge from Denmark to Sweden, does that count as a "border"?
