They committed atrocities as they invaded Russia, starved 2 million people to death in Leningrad, and murdered millions of Russians.

As usual, the truth is the opposite of what the Communists want us to believe. Just as in Katyn Forest the Communist did the massacre, wrote a paper and submitted it as Exhibit xxx, and blamed it on the Germans. The truth has already come out it books... this one is the most famous:

Prison-camp people died under the siege of the Allied round-the-clock bombs, which several writers say were done to please Stalin. And that's the same reason Dresden was intentionally firestormed, Christian cities in Japan were bombed, etc., ad naseam.
