That is was ... hopefully they can go into the break strong with a solid home performance against the Kings on Wednesday

They're starting to play with a little more jump and just looking better (especially their past couple of 2nd periods)

I also hope Niemi will settle into a groove as he'll be getting the brunt of the work with Nitty hurt

He's been looking pretty good recently

that he is ......... if you get a chance check out Logan Couture - probably a little overlooked going into the season, but definitely in the calder race with skinner

plays a very good 3 zone game - just has a tremendous feel for what's going on out there, hard to believe he's just a rookie

Yeah Couture is good too. Amazing how many Cane fans that wanted Cam Fowler are now saying "What a great pick Skinner is".

Now to see who Lidstrom and Staal will take in the draft.

Looking forward to today's Red Carpet entrance at the ASG. On NHL Network at 4 pm est?

It's a nice touch the NHL has been doing at recent ASGs. Lets fans see the players in a glamorous context up close.

Congrats to team Lidstrom on the ASG win. Fun weekend for Raleigh for sure. Can't believe the second half of the season is already here.

Looked like Raleigh put on a good show for the ASG. I think the NHL does the best in its ASG presentation...too bad it was on VS. I didn't realize the fanbase is as seemingly strong as it is.

Stars host the Canucks tonight a rematch of the quarterfinals series from a few years ago - a series that saw more games go to overtime than not. AND, if you combined all of the overtimes, the series could of lasted 9 games or more.

Go Dallas.

A lot of people don't realize that the Hurricanes have a very strong fanbase. When I lived in the area, I got to see a lot of games at that arena and it's a fantastic building and the fans are terrific.

The area was a fantastic choice for an ASG given the proximity to downtown Raleigh.
