Both women's medal games were fantastic, even if the gold medal game didn't turn out the way I wanted ...

US Women choked away their game. Up two w under 4 to play...choke.

US men...score was much closer than the game. We got little sustained pressure and really didn't make Price work. Nice win by Canada, they appeared a better team today.

I thought the Americans looked very tired this morning.

Having sustained pressure, as Canada did, allowed us to keep our changes going like clockwork. I don't think I saw any forwards double shifted at all this game.

That appears to be Canada's game plan this tournament - we have the depth to cycle 4 top level forward lines - by forcing a possession game, rather than a run-and-gun style, we can negate the top line or two of shallower teams. We did the same thing to the Finns.

And that's all she wrote. Man, did the Canadians look dominant this tournament.

I think a huge amount of credit goes to Mike Babcock and his assistants - it's not easy to get a team of superstars to buy into a team oriented, puck possession game, but they played it to near perfection. Not the most exciting style, perhaps, but an absolutely smothering one.

Great game today!

Gold for Canada

Nice goal by Crosby, that's why he is the best
