I put these window curtain sheers up with the White walls and I'm just not liking it as much. In my other room I have these cream colored wrinkle sheers and they look fabulous on the White walls.
I had in mind White sheers, 4 panels. Then I was going to hang a Black scarf over the top, but I can't get the friggin scarf to stay up!
What do you think? And...my carpet it beige/cream colored berber carpet and I have all this 1970s brown cabinents and doors in the vicinity. I did Black because the enterainment center is all Black, and the fireplace flue is on the inside of the house and goes up about 20 feet high with the ceilings and is also black.
I'm thinking of keeping the White sheers however, and using a double curtain rod to half-cover the window with 2 Blackout panels. I'm just afraid of the results LOL.
Well its really "in the eyes of the beholder", i.e. your personal taste. We use white sheers with a fancy black sculpted trim piece at the top in the bedrooms (thats also with a white mini-blind for privacy). It looks good to us but I will note that the black piece shows dust much more quickly than other colors. DW swears she is going to switch the black to another color when she gets around to it.
I like white sheers with white walls, but like the previous poster said, what's best is what appeals to you!
I think white sheers can look subtle, light, and absolutely angelic against white walls, especially in a well lit room.
