Do you have clocks in your bathrooms???? (how much, stove, living room)

This subject came up between me an a friend when talking about daylight savings time.

I was taking about changing the clock's time.

She laughed and said I am the only person she knows that has clocks in the bathroom.

It did make me wonder.....

I had a clock in the master bath at our last house,
I should put one in this house too, just never did....
Never had a clock in the guest bathroom though...

I've always had a clock in the master bathroom. Then I would always no how much time I had while getting ready for work. I have a decorative clock on the wall above the vanity mirror. It look really pretty.

Clock radio in ours. I like to keep track of the time when I am getting ready in the morning.

Especially helpful when getting ready for work or school; keeps me from fussing with hair too much when I see it's eating into my breakfast time.

I think I'd be more worried about your friend feeling concern for a clock ANYwhere in your house.

I have always had a clock in my bathroom so I won't be late wherever I go. I DO take showers in the morning before I go out, so I gotta know how much time I have left, and then brushing teeth, and then there's the potty situation, so it's the only way to be on time ANYWHERE really, most people have lots of bathroom time before they go somewhere and so they need a clock in there. It's a personal choice, I guess, but certainly not anything strange. Everybody's house is different. Mine is a mess, my mother's is tidy.

I have a little fold-up travel clock that sits open on the back of the toilet, beige to match, along with a glass-enclosed candle, also color-coordinated. I have river and ocean pictures on the wall. Then there's the clock in the bedroom, the living room, the big one over the refrig, the stove clock (forgettabout that micro, it's never right), and another big clock over the computer nook.

But you'll love this... last Sunday (Halloween), I thought it was time to switch, so I switched all the clocks I could get to, leaving the two big clocks high up for husband, and later I could not understand why the TV hadn't changed their time... of course that's when I looked at the calendar and realized it wasn't until this weekend. Sigh.

But I left all the little clocks changed, and we went by the two big clocks this week. Talk about confusion! At least this weekend I don't have to worry about changing ALL them fifty-million clocks. And I leave the car clock on regular standard time year-round, it's too hard to change it without reading several pages of a manual at a stoplight.

I think this is funny! I take baths and showers, do my hair, makeup, brush my teeth and use the toilet in the mornings too! I don't need a clock to keep me on schedule. I know exactly how much time it takes me to do these things. It's a routine. I wake up exactly one hour before I need to leave my house. I'm in the bathroom approximately 15 minutes after I wake up. I'm out the front door and driving down the street exactly 45 minutes after I entered the bathroom. It's been like that for decades. Never needed a clock.

It takes me exactly 20 minutes to bath or shower. I put my makeup on as soon as I get out while my hair is still in a towel (it goes on better with damp skin). The I comb out my long hair so it can slightly air dry while get dressed. It takes 10 minutes to dress. After being dressed, I head in and dry my hair. It takes 5 minutes. Put on my shoes, grab my purse and I'm out the door. No clock needed.

It boggles my mind that people have no clue how long it takes them to do something they do every day of their lives.
