We have one small clock in the entire house: in the parlor. That's it. I read somewhere that having clocks all over the place makes a person feel more rushed.
When we were growing up we had clocks in nearly every room. But my dad was in the military so there was an issue of timeliness. Plus I think he was teaching us kids about being on time about things.
It boggles my mind that people have no clue how long it takes them to do something they do every day of their lives.
News flash, Hopes: everybody isn't you. Some of us have actual variations in our routines, such as interruptions from others, that require us to pay attention to the clock if we want to be on time for our appointments.
I have a clock in both bathrooms and I also have telephones. I put wall phones in on the wall near the showers. I don't use land lines that much any more, but it's there if I want to order a pizza from the shower or while busy with something else.
IN one bathroom. I collect antique clocks. I have an old ships clock. One of our bathrooms has a maritime theme, so the ship's clock is in there. It rings through the eight bells of a watch (1-8 times consecutively each half hour in four hour cycles). It is kind of neat, but it confuses guests.
No clocks in our other bathrooms, mechanical clocks fo not do well in moist atmospheres. If someone just needs to keep track oftime, they bring their cell phone into thebathroom with them. (In our family, most people bring their cell phone into the bathroom anyway - just cannot miss a text or call, even if you are sitting on the pot or taking a shower).
Yes. A cute little duck who is wearing a sailor hat and a neckerchief. I also have a blue-haired troll who is wrapped in a towel, is wearing a shower cap, and is carrying a rubber duckie. The truth brush holder is a penguin carrying a surfboard. The toilet paper holder is a Swiss chalet. When you pull out a few sheets it plays, "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning" from its music box. I bought it in Lucerne in the 70's and actually carried it across the Swiss Alps in my backpack because I knew the odds were pretty slim I'd ever run across another one.
Considering what goes on in there it's my opinion that johns should be fun.

Yes, a waterproof white wall clock. I know how long it takes me to do things, shower, etc., but I just like to know what time it is.
