What is sad is that scum bag lawyers are the ones who make the money, and the party who is correct usually spends a great deal of money and "wins" but the bottom line is some folks are so self centered and greedy they can not see in broad daylight. To date I have spent nearly $25K. Now they want to rush to mediation so they can sell the property. When they could not sell the property they did zero. And called for me to pay 50/50 to have the drainage problem corrected. Why? because if I did not they would just keep dumping ALL their drainage into my property and continue to damage my house and land. This thing is likely going to trial and that is a year away and substantial more damage and aggravation!
This is what happens when people try to get around codes and ordinances. You both brought all this trouble on yourselves.
What did I bring on myself? I have my projects nearly complete and it will increase the property values of the people around me.

Under Texas law, my friend had a brand new house at no cost. He offered to swap lots with them rather than have them tear it down and rebuild it on the correct lot.

Ummm.... no, it does not fit the definition.
