EX-ACTLY!! Who cares what everyone else has. I like my white. I've seen stainless steel and am not impressed with how black or any other dark colour seems to make a room appear smaller, less cheerful.

I tried to give you points, Bummer. Sorry!

Black applicances will be way too dark for the cherry cabinets . . . your kitchen will look very dark and dingy (and that's what I thought when I looked at the pictures above). Go with the stainless. There's going to be maintenance with whatever color you go with. Definitely wouldn't choose white . . . they will just "stick out" too much with the cherry cabinets and black appliances look best with the light maple cabinets.

This is good advice . . . but you still want it to look good and I think that's what the poster was trying to figure out - it doesn't hurt to get other people's opinions.

Stainless is nice too. There's no need to denigrate one to praise the other.
??? Black's been around for years!

Experience and Research weighs heavily to make the choice to pick the appliances I prefer.
