every 6 months i order water filter for my refrigerator from amazon. the filters always worked until the last time.
no matter how many gallons i ran though it now i see small pieces of plastic film like pieces in the water. i ordered another one and same problem. any ideas whats going on?
Mine has a plug so there is no filter. Dump the over priced filter and go buy a regular filter for the line(s). For what those filters cost on the fridge you can filter your whole house.
I got a "bypass filter" which installs where the refrigerator filter goes. It looks the same, but has no filter inside. It just routes the water through it. The refrigerator dealer said I could not bypass the water filter (so he could make $$ selling me filters!), but I found one on Amazon.com. I don't know if there is a bypass filter available for your specific refrigerator???
Prior to the water entering my refrigerator, I have a better and less expensive water filter installed there.
i dont know anything about refrigerators. not sure what you mean by bypass filters etc. its just a filter i plug into the bottom of the refrigerator and filters the water and ice.
they worked for a couple years so not sure maybe if it was just bad batch i received the last two. maybe i should order again now? its been a couple of months so maybe ill get one that actually works again.
i believe it screws in only in one direction but i dont remember which direction clockwise or counterclockwise
