Aquahomegroup -$20-$22+tax depending on if 15 stage or 20 stage

BWDM - $17+tax

https://www.amazon.com/15-Stage-Show...4254390&sr=8-6

Are these good? What is the difference between aquabliss and bwdm where it cost almost 2x as much?

Also one thing that is concerning with every single shower water head filter is that people say when you open it up to change the filters months later, there is paint that seem to contaminate the water? They say there are paint particles that is peeling and flaking off. So isn't this a big concern?

That's the kind I have, and I am happy with them.
Get the cheapest, because it's the filter that matters.

The bolded above ^^^

or this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M62IRCV...pa_mw_detail_2 (it comes with 2 filter refills)

You can get 4 refills for $23 or so. They universally fit in any of the above filters.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NC9F9M2...pa_mw_detail_6

Never noticed any "paint". There could be some filter particles that became loose.

NOTE:
Shower head filters are generally designed to address chlorine problems. Depending on filters you buy, they remove some chemical contaminants - arsenic, lead, copper, iron, cadmium, chromium, and chlorine from the hard water.
So, your water won't be softer, just less contaminated.
However, you will feel the difference on your skin and hair.

There are other systems you could use:
https://www.amazon.com/Aquasana-AQ-4...ef=mp_s_a_1_20

And filter: (6 months)

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KPCLDBP...pa_mw_detail_3

This filter removes calcium and magnesium - and makes water softer.
The reverse osmosis system combined with a carbon filter is most effective at removing water contaminants.

Cheaper - last 1 year:

So you have the cheapest BWDM one? But that only comes with 1 cartridge right? Want one where it comes with 2 total... the one it comes with and an extra one. I don't need to buy so many replacement cartridge at once. I just want one showerhead water filter with an extra cartridge just to try.

So the aquabliss is way overpriced then? It does say in the description it is better than even two 15 stage water filters. You used any other one like the Aqua earth?

Look at the paint reviews. I went to the aquabliss and the aquahomegroup reviews and typed in keyboard paint. You see those comments from people about the paint corroding inside the water filter? So that isn't a concern? People say they are upset because when they went to change the filter months later, they saw this and upset because that means the paint got into the water and contaminated it. They said because it is chrome paint or some term like that, that means the water probably got contaminated?

Makes more sense short term as you said.

As poster above said, it's all in the filter

Reviews are so easy to fake these days hard to only go by them.

Look at the return policy too to help you out in case they don't really work.

Yea this will be a short term thing which is why I want a showerhead water filter. So I have 5 options from the one's I posted. The issue is 2 of the options... the Aquabliss $36 and the cheapest one BWDM $17 which the poster above mention they use and is good, it only comes with just the 1 filter. I want to have a 2nd replacement filter.

I could buy another aquabliss replacement filter now but I don't want to do that because I don't want to spend over $50 for both right now until I try the filter out first. However, I want to have a 2nd replacement filter because when I travel, it would be hard to get another one. The BWDM one requires you to buy a 4 pack for $29 which is completely unnecessary for me at the moment. So even though the BWDM is the cheapest and the poster above recommends it, I would have to spend another $29 because they don't sell replacement filter by 1 or 2.

Anyone have thoughts on either the Aquahome group 15 stage or 20 state showerhead filter? Both comes with 2 filters. The other is the Aqua Earth shower filter which comes with 2 filters. Again these range from $20-$27 or so... so these are like the medium range price showerhead filter. Yes I know reviews are easy to fake and there are tons or reviews. My big concern is the paint peeling off from the inside which seem to be a safety hazard since the water can possibly be contaminated from the paint inside that is corroded? What do you think about those comments from those reviewers in my post above on the paint issue.

Has anyone else here tried the aquahomegroup or the aqua earth? Those comes with 2 filters.

Also so the paint corroding inside isn't a safety hazard? Several reviewers mention they are upset because when they went to replace the filter, they notice the paint flaking from the inside which mean it was contaminating the water?

You're not "required" to buy any amount of filters.
The one I posted that comes with two filters is a good, cheap option for just $20. That's all you need if you want to just check on the filters performance.

You said you need a second filter replacement "for travel". How you intend to use it?

There is no paint flaking inside, because the inside is not painted. They probably meant the chrome coating, but I never experienced it. The super cheap might have quality issues. They are made mostly of chrome coated ABS plastic. Some might crack when you screw them too tight.

There is not much to overthink, though. All the filters look pretty much the same - you just pay for the name. And all the filters replacement of the same category look, fit and work the same too. Some top shelf/most expensive models are higher quality.
All you need is to make a choice how many filter layers you want or how much you want to pay for them. Again - 15 layers work all the same, and so are 18 or 20. Price difference is because of a brand name. KDF filters are bit better, but more expensive.

Note:
Using shower filter system might decrease your water output. But that can be easily fixed.

The one you mentioned for $20, that was one of the 5 choices I posted earlier. So there is no difference between the 15 filter vs 20 filter? They have 2 options. The 20 filter cost just a few dollars more. 15 stage seem more popular than 18 stage or 20 stage so better 15 stage? The issue is when you look at reviews, some people use 15 stage, others use 20 stage.

Do you have any idea how it compares to the Aqua Earth? There is a discount on that so price is very similar to the one you posted for $20 the Aquahomegroup. I am deciding between the Aquahomegroup and the Aqua Earth now.

https://www.amazon.com/Aqua-Earth-Ac.../dp/B07PYVD9LV

The other ones you posted... those don't seem to be your normal shower head filter but more expensive. But those obviously work better than the ones I posted?

You said they are mostly made of chrome coated ABS plastic. So the BWDM one you have is then? Did you look at my link post few posts up with the 2 links where you see paint at the end of each? Those are the filtered reviews where I typed in paint and then you read people talk about the paint flaking. This is with the more expensive Aquabliss and the $20 one you recommended the Aquahomegroup. So you are saying all of them are wrong that it's paint flaking... but instead it's chrome coating? All of them seem to mention it's paint so it gets contaminated in the water.

You're overanalyzing purchase worth $20.
Just get one of the recommended.
