No this is not what I want.....I have NO Desire to live out in the country!

My dream:....a 2 bedroom 1 bath 1950s ranch house with original 50s charm and character, such as a green, blue, or even pink(the most common color then) tiled bathroom!.....the entire living area? About 810 sq feet!!

I have no interest in condos!!

The idea of sharing walls with neighbors is one reason why I am opposed to such an arrangement!

However I maintain that new home construction while not non existant...seems like it may be more uncommon than not!

Also, of the examples you posted most were over 1000 sq feet....indeed smaller....but not as small as I am looking for!

My dream is a house that is around 800-850 sq feet!

Well, Walmart is selling Tiny Houses, and so is Amazon. Sizable collection.

Smaller houses under 1000 sqft are also built. They aren't common because only a few enthusiasts want them. But they are there. Use Google and do some search...

Here are few for start. In Texas:

Tiny houses are nothing more than upjumped travel trailers you park in your parents' backyard and pirate electricity.

You asked about new constructions under 1000sqft.

Now you want a mid-century, 810 sqft (!!) house with gren/blue/pink bathrooms...

Well, my mid-century actually came with mint green and pale pink bathrooms, AND a pink kitchen with pink 1950 stove, original pink fridge and other small pink appliances. It even came with several, high quality mid-century furnitures. Everything in mint condition.
It IS totally mid-century architectural style too (and l am keeping it that way), although just over 1500 sqft in size. It's a closed floor plan also, which was one of the main reasons why I bought it.
There was just one previous owner, who drove a big, pink 1954 Cadillac coupe DeVille. She sold the Caddy before putting the house on market, sadly.
So, search listings and maybe you will get lucky too.
They aren't cheap to buy and upkeep, though.

Here is one:

Near Austin, a whole neighborhood is under development featuring nothing but new-construction MCM homes.
Many Realtors have begun to specialize in marketing MCMs. The style may not be to everyone’s taste, but a full-on MCM Renaissance is underway nationwide.

Yep....your house sounds like exactly what I am looking for....only I want something quite a bit smaller!!

You say your house is just over 1500 sq feet in size? I am looking for a house built in the 1950s that has NOT been remodeled and still has the 1950s era charm that your home still has, but only 600--to--700 sq feet smaller than the size of your home!

Thanks for your post!
