Tired of replacing peel and stick numbers. Mailbox is plastic with a plastic post bolted to a cedar wood post. Want to install reflective numbers on both sides. The numbers are also plastic. It’s always out in the sun in south Louisiana. Which adhesive would you recommend?

OP, how often are you replacing those adhesive numbers on your mailbox? I suggest that before adhering them to clean the area with rubbing alcohol and drying the surface with a clean, dry paper towel. Gorilla glue is a good suggestion.

Nothing wrong with gorilla glue, but for this application, if I'm understanding correctly, i personally would use J-B Weld PlasticWeld.

Once a year. I fully clean the surface before applying. I believe the expansion and contraction from temperature changes on the plastic contributes to the sticker numbers coming off.

Yes, since most plastic mailboxes are made with polypropylene, durable but resistant to staining and things stuck to it. PlasticWeld is made for just such a use.

I considered that. Combine an adhesive with wide pitch self taping screws may work better.

The poor mailman could get a scrape on his hand when he puts in the mail if the screws go through and the points are exposed. If you do that, install them on the post, vertically.

I'd use nails/screws on the post to attach- not the mailbox itself.
