They make dual fuel stoves/ovens but are over $2,000. The burner is gas and the oven is electric. Pretty neat.

Using an electric range these days as no gas available in my area--except for propane.

Miss my former gas stove a lot--it was a 1950's Wedgewood, loaded with chrome and oozing character. Had a griddle in the middle, was big, had storage, and cooked really well. Loved that stove.

Thanks for the above replies. I've decided to definitely spend a bit extra and get a dual fuel range in my new home. It duplicates what I have now with the separate electric wall oven and gas cooktop, and that has worked very well for me. My new house and its kitchen are going to be smaller than my current one - I'm downsizing due to an empty nest - and I don't want to eat up cabinet space with the wall oven, so the slide-in dual fuel range should work perfectly for me.
