Anyone who has read the Bible as an adult should be able to see it is a work of fiction. Religion is how you keep the masses in line with societal approved norms and how the ruling class legitimizes themselves. It is amazing how many people keep this peasant mindset in the 21st century but they did a really good job of hitting on the psychological weak points, but then again they had tens of thousands of years and numerous failed religions to practice with before they perfected the formula.

BTW, my aunt told me that it was a MESS in 2000 when the world was predicted to end. She said people were going crazy. They were buying the usual (milk, water, bread, and batteries)> I don't even remember that.

It was a mess. I was only 9 at the time and we stocked up on water, bread, meat and cheese. It was horrible. Lots of stores were running out of food.
