Wow.......Houston's average home price/sq is only $54? That's almost hard to believe. Well, no wonder people say how cheap it is to live here.

Realtors should get more than 6% in this range.

Is our avg so low because we have so many condos?

I wonder if the low figure includes areas outside of Houston, like the suburbs & rural properties.

For every nice and expensive neighborhood, there are many other cheap neighborhoods that people don't talk about b/c there's nothing really exciting about them, and/or people dismiss as being "dangerous". Remember that society is shaped in a pyramid distribution. The lowest income has the most people and the richest are at the top of the pyramid. So most people live in homes under $150k.

We have over 100 houses for sale under $25K. They look like what you would imagine.

yes, but if they had stayed towards more neutral with their paint and accessories they would probably have gotten more offers by now. At least it appears they had a professional help them with staging.
