I'd live here to be with friends and family. Like they say at the end of your life, you won't say gee I wish I'd have lived here or had this much money - it's your loved ones you'll think about.

I would have a house close to my wife's family (Missouri) and one close to my family (Venezuela) which could be in Aruba.
I don't know where I would live, but I know I hate cold weather, I might still live in Houston.

San Francisco in the summer. New York in the Fall. Hong Kong in the winter. Sf/NY in the Spring.

Come back to Houston for the holidays since my folks lived here.

Jobs and COL are what attract most people to any given place during their working years. Once people retire its more about weather and affordable health care (which we also have).

For tax reasons, staying here 6 months of the year is very attractive. And then travel a lot during that time, just not to the state of your other residence.

This. Houston would be my main address but I'd have a winter

Though between November-February I'd be in NYC. The minute the clock strikes November 1st I'd be out of this hell hole winter weather so fast and be in cold weather until Spring. I'd be all over NE during those months. When I'm ready for the heat I'll come back an bake in this heat for the next 8 months then go back

Hell no, this place would see my dust in 30 minutes, I wouldn't take anything but the clothes on my back

I'd live in Seattle, WA or back to New York City for a true loft in TriBeCa or SoHo

WoW, so much love for Houston. You love making the money here but yet you will split in a second. Yes I would love staying here for 6 or 3 months a year at least. It is HOME for me and I wasn't even born here. I have few places all over the world, Germany, Hong Kong, Paris, Costa Rica, Langkawi and few others. But most likely I will end up with the kids. And I hope the kids will be in Houston or Texas somewhere. Houston is like family. Look at President Bush, still in Houston. That's the way to do it...
