Drive down to Alvin and eat at Joe's Barbeque. It's worth the trip.

I've eaten at Joe's about four times, and I thought it was alright. Nothing to write home about.

Have not been there but many swear its legit..

So we just went to Gatlins!
That was definitely the best bbq i've ever had in houston.
We (four adults, two kids) got there today (saturday) at 12:50pm and waited in line for maybe 10 minutes.
Then we waited another 15 minutes for our food to be ready.

Hour and hours?!?! Order yesterday to pick up today?!?! I don't think so!
Another case of internet over exaggeration. LOL!

Except for the praise of the food. That is no over exaggeration.
I got the 3 meat plate (ribs, spicy sausage, and moist brisket) and was stuffed... had to take some of it home. By far the best brisket I've ever had. And even the baked beans were the best I've ever had at a bbq joint.

Maybe it has to do with the new location. I haven't been to the new location but at the old place, you could only fit about 20 inside.

I need to go try the new place.

I was never at the old place but the new one can fit a lot more than 20! There are two rooms of tables.
There was also only 3 groups of people in line ahead of us.

BTW, ate my leftovers yesterday... and my original comments still stands. Best BBQ ever!

Speaking of Fort Bend, has anyone been to Dozier's in Fulshear?
That's definitely one of my least favorite bbq joints. Very nice people, just not fond of the bbq at all. Different strokes I guess.
