Maybe I'm not remembering correctly but is it way early to have mosquito hawks (crane flies)? They're already out in our neighborhood.

Been a pretty warm winter, nature is a bit confused. The next cold front today should make them go room temp.

Yes, had one in the truck the other night.

We haven't had an actual cold day this winter. Quite a few days in the 50s, but none of the handful of days topping out in the 30s or 40s that we usually have. Also, minimal dips below the freezing point. It will probably be a bad year for mosquitoes if things stay moderately wet.

My 8 year old saw one today and freaked out.

This is the same kid who has a 10 inch lizard she likes to carry around the house.

Opened the doors last night to let in the nice fresh air and had about 5 in the house in as many minutes. Hadn't seen them before then.
