Your budget may rule out anything actually at The Reserve but you can find an older 3-4 bedroom one story house in Pine Brook for your budget. Well-built homes, right next to The Reserve, next to Bay Oaks, and you can walk to the new HEB development, and they recently opened a connecting street off of Eldorado, within The Reserve, that makes it easier to get to Beltway 8, via Space Center Blvd. You can then take Beltway 8, toll free to I-45, and then downtown. A very nice little area, sidewalks and trees, with a lot of NASA folks, plus a diverse population, with some working downtown. The really nice thing for you is the location is about a 15 minute trip to the back gate of JSC and you still have reasonable non-rush hour access to a location like Midtown.

You have a number of options, so just carefully consider what is most important to you.
I've worked down there and I'm familiar with that area. It is a nice area and the location is better than most people think but there are way too many old people there for someone like the OP and it is way too close to heavy industry. If NASA re-invents itself within the next 5 years that area may actually have something going for it. But guess what... they won't, but heavy industry will still expand.

I am a big fan of the East End, Eastwood specifically. Eado has more going on that it used to. Lucky's and a few Vietnamese restaurants was all that was there besides warehouses (both abandoned and working). Prices have gone up considerably.

I'd put it on my short list if young and looking for someplace close in.

The reserve would Probably be closest to the 24 hr fitness in pasadena on bw8. Probably 7-10 minute drive. The advantage it has is that you can cut through pasadena for easy bw access to get places quick. Also very close to the bike trails that start in holly bay park and go along Armand bayou. But still primarily a typical suburban area and not a big singles hub.

Where should i live, i plan to buy a house or a condo, which may end up for rentals if i move again or move to the suburbs in some time. how far is downtown or midtown area ? I heard pearland is good too.
Thanks for the help !!
