I'm looking for someone to rent my apartment in Cypress. It has two bedrooms, 2 baths. I'm not interested in sub-letting just someone to finish up the lease which is expired in June of next year. The price is 1350.00 per month. I have a great job offer and need to move.

Thanks.

Make sure the apartment management allows this - most don't.

I don't think the OP is talking about a sublet, he's trying to find someone to lease the apartment he's leaving before the end of the lease so he doesn't have to pay for months he's not living there. Most landlords would be happy to see that happen, as they won't have to pay a fee, give a discount, etc. Not do they have to try hard to find a new renter, which is required by law(unless it's changed) - landlords who don't try to find a new renter can lose their lease based protections.

You need to work with the landlord to get the lease transferred if you find someone. There is no benefit to the person taking over your lease unless they just need a very short term rental. Plus, if they trash it, you are liable if you don't transfer the lease. If you have a really great opportunity you could just pay to break the lease. Don't be tied down over an apartment.
