I saw this coming a while ago. The governor and most Texans were pushing for the state to reopen as fast as possible, and this could be the result. I hope we don't, but if Houston does become the hotspot, then we may have to shut down again. Some areas of Houston will be affected more than others.

You best believe Greg Abbot will lose votes.

Maybe a handful. But he will still term out just like Rick Perry, and will thankfully be Governor through 2026.

Not near enough for him to not be re-elected.

Will Houston become the number one hotspot for coronavirus? I don’t know but there isn’t going to be much we can do other than mask orders. Look at Southern California. It’s as bad there as it is here despite them doing almost everything different.

This thing is just going to be with us until there is a vaccine. We can go through this cycle of closing and reopening, but it’s not going to reduce case count.

I'm trying to figure out why someone would be thankful for Abbott. I guess if you lean Libertarian so want an absence of leadership, now would feel pretty good to you. But then, you'd have to be a libertarian who also wants government to get overly involved in selective matters, such as overruling local governance, and interfering with women's bodies. So not really a libertarian. It's confusing.

So much for low density and humidity as being pluses for Houston. Clearly didn’t matter
