Houston Summers are mid 90’s and above during the day and 80’s at night. It’s stupid hot from May to October. No daily afternoon showers. No cooling down at night. Just heat, humidity and mosquitos.

Hey OP, I was OK with that rainy weather and all those overcast days. I miss them already. It’s so hot and sunny outside.

Outside of any tropical waves, there may be 2 or 3 afternoon storms in that month that will give us all the rain for the entire month. Because the ground is so dry & hard the usual parts of town will flood and be on the news, etc etc.

This is Miami. The only thing missing is the afternoon showers.

We were living in an area of North Texas that experienced 90+ straight days of temps above 100 degrees. That summer's weather was the straw that broke the camel's back and we moved to Denver for 3 years a few months later. Of course, after those 3 years, we came back here to Houston, so maybe we didn't learn anything, LOL.
