Maybe he's been in the heat too long

It's 88 degrees outside. Plenty of sunlight. Go do something. Quit complaining.

I hear SoCal people do that a lot at home too, where they have weather we'd kill for.

Today wasn't as bad as the past few days. High was 'bout 93 or 94 with dewpoints under 70. I was just getting used to 96-98 degree heat with the heat index higher than, probably 106 or something.

Well, in defense of those who find the weather rather hot, I just came in from painting outside for about 45 minutes and doing so in the shade. Where I live, it isn't as uncomfortable as Houston as one can see below, but I'm very hot and sweaty. My older dog won't even go outside, but she is smarter than most humans.

Houston ~ 88, 65, 73 temperature, humidity, dew point

Where I Live South of Ft. Worth ~ 91, 37, 61 temperature, humidity, dew point

Actually, I can't believe I'm as warm as I am with the stats stated above. That's weird.

I don't like winter either because we don't have a "real" winter. I think that's why people who don't like snow and cold move here. But at least in the winter time we don't have a 100+ heat index, I just prefer cold weather.

I like cold weather too - If the wind's calm I can go out in near-freezing temperatures in a T-shirt and feel just fine - and I like snow. But icestorms? Forget it. And driving among Southerners in ice? Forget that too.

To be honest, the summer weather gets to me sometimes too. But it doesn't stop me from going out and doing my best to enjoy life.

only thing that works consistently for me is deep woods off......
Just do like I do when I go camping. Buy a 55 gallon drum of DEET. Strap to roof of vehicle. Get to campsite and "dip" your entire body in contents of drum. No bugs, no unwelcome visitors trying to mooch Smores. Only side effect is a weird "glow". But that's OK, you don't need a flashlight when walking to the Loo.
