This is the same as it was last month, about 97-100 and 77-80 at night. Anytime from June-Aug the prevailing winds switch from the S-SE (Gulf) and blow from the SW (Mexico) this is what happens.

At least with this, the humidity will be in the 30%s instead of the 50%s.

I like summer. It's one of my favorite times of the year. The others are winter, fall, and spring.

There ya go.

Back on topic - To be quite honest, I've not found the summer to be all that bad here...yet. I'm still waiting for the really bad heat and humidity I've heard can occur here.

The humidity did stay low. But if the temp stay this high and the front backs up like it looks like it will on Monday...then there you go.

It's all a state of mind though. But there's always a point in the summer that the real heat journey begins, and this looks like it.

So far the heat really only bothers me in September and October when I feel like it *should* be getting cooler, but it just doesn't. All you can buy is warm sweaters and and long sleeves for back to school for the kids, but they can't wear them until that one cool week in December or January. It's really no hotter here than it is anywhere else in the summer. The difference is that it doesn't cool off over night. Oh well. We were in the bay area of CA a few weeks ago and froze our buns off. ~K~

Today wasn't bad. We went to the park and there was a nice breeze in the shade underneath the trees.

We also played soccer in the direct sun and that DID get us all overheated. It felt great to come back inside after that.

Tomorrow we'll do something involving water, for sure...

It's been a nice warm summer until my plastic bottle melted in the car today. Next week is suppose to be hotter. But hey, I've lived in Phoenix, AZ where you definitely wouldn't leave a soda can in the car. Fortunately, this is going to be a nice short summer. I look forward to biking 40+ miles tomorrow. I'm practicing to bike for Livestrong at the moment and later for Crohn's Disease. I bike for life!

Last week wasn't so bad... but today? We were baking. Though it wasn't as humid as I expected it to be... but still, it was hot.
