It's worth going twice, both times at a discounted rate. You'll likely see different presentations and tour different parts of NASA in each visit. Coupons are pretty easy to find online.

Plenty of stuff to do for adults... my favorite thing to see is the Saturn V rocket at Rocket Park which I believe all of the tram rides stop at. I think you can also enter rocket park as a guest for free, just stop at the main JSC gate entrance on Saturn off of Nasa Rd 1.

Adults can also have fun in that kiddie play area. The 3 story looking thing with the slides, cylinders, w/ balls, etc. Watch out though -- some of those kids in there can be ruthless when you're trying to squeeze through some places!!

I had one day left and wanted to do something worthwhile. My first option was to check out the Kemah boardwalk but unfortunately it is still closed down (except for some restaurants) from the Hurricane. Bummed out, we decided to go see the space center since it was close and I wanted to see what the hype was about. If you have kids, they will enjoy it but if you are an adult, you are going to stand there wondering what the hell you are doing there. They do 1 and a half hour tours around the facility but I slept through that. Don't waste your $24 and long drive for this.
