since there isnt a Beaumont thread I figured I would add to this post. I am in lumberton, right outside of Beaumont and probably have about 5 inches of snow in my yard. I moved here to get away from snow! Ha ha
several neighbors were walking around and voted us with the best snowman. kids were out doing snowmen at about 5:30 this morning. I think every other house in the neighborhood has some sort of snowman in front. this is really cool.

Hope the kids had fun, the ones around here sure did last night. It appears their parents relented and let them stay up late to play in the snow.

We had about 2 inches on the ground, but they say there was 4 inched that fell but the ground was to warm at first and it melted here in Pasadena until the ground cooled down.

Nah...only as long as it is temporary. Wouldn't want it to stick around too long.

sometimes us parents have to give in! Most of the people around my area have said they have never seen snow. I dont think in the 1 1/2 yrs i've lived here I have seen so many people walking around and taking pics at 6:30am. This is nice, but I hope it doesnt last long. I think i'll have a lot of dead plants come tomorrow.

I got up early to take pictures of our front yard but sadly it had all but melted away already. I tried taking some last night, but most did not come out as it was too dark. I sure enjoyed it while it lasted but I am happy to see it go.
