I would argue it is. It's built on a fault line, though. And although the streets are tree lined and the schools are excellent, the houses are kind of boring. It is very culturally diverse and everyone seems to get along pretty well.

Safety in Houston is street by street. Crime is very mobile.

Friendswood seems very safe and has a low crime rate.

And are we talking Houston or Houston megametro? That's the difference between roughly 600 square miles to an area larger than New Jersey..
