The risk of catching and spreading deadly disease is certainly increased and goes hand in hand with sexually promiscuous behavior. I am not into the swinger club scene BUT I could not even imagine walking into a swingers bar and touching or sitting down anywhere! Practicing safe sex by using a condom is also like playing Russian roulette...its not 100% guaranteed. Is it worth it? NO WAY!!!!!

Here is a nice link to educate yourself on just one sexually transmitted set of diseases but think about all of the others that you can pick up as well.
http://www.hepfi.org/living/liv_abc.html Don't miss the part that reads that HBV can live on a dry surface up to 7 days!!!! YUCK!!!
People will do what that will but hopefully they can educate themselves and make wiser choices.

Sorry did not intend to sound like a lecture, just trying to spread some wisdom and knowledge.

Viruses have incubation times before they are detectible even by the most sensitive testing methods. I am a blood transfusion specialist. Do you know that a person with newly acquired HIV can donate blood to a blood center and it not be detectable for up to 4 to 6 weeks due to the incubation phase. At worst it can be as long as 3 months later. Do a search on blood product recall look backs...it happens. People receive a blood transfusion and end up with hepatitis or some other disease because it was during the incubation phase and could not be identified with testing. It is a very rare occurrence due to the donor screening and donation history of the donor but it does exist. Be assured that most donors that are regular about donating do not participate in sexually risky behaviors. So don't think just because someone says they tested negative means that they are truly negative. I suggest you take a class in immunology and microbiology and learn about the world of microbes and antibody titer detection ranges. Also look around at the types of people who do frequent bars and sex seeking scenes they are very high risks. Did you hear about this guy? He frequented swingers clubs knowing he was a carrier. He was charming and taught martial arts did not look sick but my GOD how horrible this story is. http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/localnews/stories/053009dnmetpadieuhiv.2add1223.html

Texas User I am not trying insult you but you really need to be aware of certain things can harm you and you may pass onto others. I recommend going to the CDC website and searching about incubation and detection times of the sexually transmitted diseases. Here is a link from their website: http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/topics/testing/resources/qa/be_tested.htm

I do my best not to judge people for what they do. It takes a lot of work on some days but I just try to plant a seed of knowledge since most people that do unwise things do it out of utter ignorance and for other reasons as well. This planet is full of those people and judging them all would leave a very heavy and dark consciousness in my mind that I choose not to carry around. I like to feel light and fluffy!

Default Sometimes a duty...

To judge that is. Did anyone here think one way, or the other about priests sexually abusing boys in the Catholic Church? How about a man who lures little kids, sexually abuses them and worse? Any judging by anyone? I think so.
