So many high value new homes(mostly DC translplants) and nothing there but a measley gas station. I was wondering what the forum thought could survive out there. TIA

A cinder-block, dirt-road BBQ joint with drive-through service.

Something needs to go on the corner of Martin and Zierdt. Kept hearing the proposed Kroger set-up, but nothing has happened. Doesn't bother me to drive on up to Madison Blvd, for things.

I would just like a turn arrow installed to turn left onto Martin from Zierdt, it gets to be so tedious. That's my number one thing right now.

I believe Kroger abandoned that project and the land is for sale again. Development of the site was quite busy until the economy got shaky.

Anything that would be quick, and have LOTS of parking space....that light at Zierdt and the gate, would be 9 times as worse than it already is......if something would be put there...

However, you would make a lot of money IMO.................

I'd like to see both fast food & decent restaurants off Zeirdt & Martin road. There are no such places on Zeirdt & Madison Blvd neither. A starbuck would be nice as well.

Traffic would be a nightmare but it would be nice to have like a providence type mixed used area on martin and zeirdt. They would make a killing with arsenal and residence, makes you wonder why there isn't anyone jumping to the gun to get that property.

both Zierdt and Martin are being expanded . Clearing and utility relocation is underway. Zierdt will be more of a Boulevard I think with a median in the middle.

Correct.

I guess no one was happy with the Subway??? lol

The proposed development that was to be at the corner of Zierdt and Martin, was to be a Whole Foods, it was going to be their entrance to our area.

Back in 2007. Long dead now.
