Where are the places for men to shop for clothes around here? It's terrible that us guys have to go all the way to Nashville, Bham or ATL to find some decent clothes. Does anyone know of any good places for a guy in his middle twenties to shop? I have a wide range of tastes. H&M, Urban Outfitters... can find some decent stuff at A&F, Gap and even Old Navy from time to time. Help me out!

What do you call decent?
Parisian used to have a very good men's section...but they're long gone and Belks offers crap.
Maybe Dillard's...Levy's in Nashville, if $1,500 suits are more to your taste.

Find someone that dresses the way you like and ask him where he shops.

Actually the problem isn't that there's not anywhere to shop in Huntsville, is that the decent places don't ship anything nice to Huntsville.

I found an absolutely amazing 3/4 length wool driving coat on one retailer's web site, and when I went to Bridge Street to try to actually buy one, they didn't even have it and told me they could order it if I paid for it up front.

I asked why on earth they didn't have them when that was obviously the best looking jacket they carried and their reply was "the corporate buyers only send what they see people around here wearing".

My brother is in retail and he says this is standard practice, that's why you never see anything good in the Huntsville shops; since the average Huntsville man has absolutely no idea how to dress himself we all have to drive to Nashville to get the cool stuff.

An H&M would be nice. I guess I will hit the Atlanta one when I go there for some IKEA shopping next weekend.

If you want well made non name-brand sports coats, suits etc, you could try Jos A Banks at Bridge St. They have been open 3 months. We went this evening as they were having a sale on sports coats - 60% off 1st Jacket, 70% off 2nd. The salesman was very helpful, applying the 70% to the higher priced item, giving good advice and good suggestions. We left with 2 very good fitting jackets.

Assuming this is J Crew or BR? You can always order it from their website and return it to the store if you don't like it. My fiancee does this all the time. She feels bad sometimes returning piles of clothes, but we can't help it the stores don't carry the entire line.

Cool I didn't know you could do that actually. Armed with that knowledge I'll probably be less apprehensive about ordering a $400 coat from them sight unseen.
