I am considering moving to Huntsville. I went to visit my daughter in Pulaski, TN and crossed the state line and fell in love with Huntsville the few hours I was there. I am coming from NY State (upstate) where I have lived my whole 58 years. I am experienced in customer service/call center jobs and clerical. What is the job situation like down there? Also, I am bringing my 22 year old son who has Downs Syndrome. I'm concerned about the programs available in the South for disabled people. Can anyone tell me how jobs and disabled programs are there?

Outside of jobs that require a clearance, I'm not very familiar. I know there is a Directv call center here.
In the next 3-6 months there should be a pretty big boom for jobs in this area on the gov't contracting side as several major contracts will be dropping.
There's over 8500 jobs listed here just for Huntsville.

OP - do a search on the Hsv forum, there was recently a thread about specifically customer service/call center and DirectTV, Verizon, Deltacom came up as well. The OP of that thread seemed pretty knowledgeable of the major CS/CC employers, and seemed to me she was asking for others besides what she already knew (and probably tried).
