1/15th inch of sleet is going to accumulate, with normal traffic.
Time to buy 5 pounds of bread, 8 gallons of milk, and 5 rolls of toilet paper.

Let the paranoia commence.

Thankfully I heeded the warnings and came home early. Sounds like a zoo out there after reading tweets from Twitter

Default I gotta laugh.

We get blizzards with sub zero temps and when the school buses get stuck, the kids walk to school.
I've walked to the grocery store in -31 f.

NO, NO, NO, I think you meant to say "snow furries" has to do with how people in Alabama are gonna overdress if they actually get a real snow fall.

I know it seems funny to me too since we use to do the same thing for hurricanes heading our way. However most of you were not here in 85 during the ice storm which caused power outages for 2 weeks in some places. Trees and branches damaged a lot of homes too.

Most folks around here do not know how to drive on ice or snow plus the cities don't have equipment to clear roads.

First of all, I HAD to go to the grocery store for my daughters class project...the other 5,000 shoppers were too busy wiping out the bread and milk department. I crack up every time I see the empty shelves.

Just remember last year, when the Huntsville police and rescue sent out the message that they would not come help anyone who got stuck on a closed road until they first helped everyone needing help on open roads. Too many people were going around road blocks and sliding off the road.
