I have been trying to use the Alabama Votes website, but it isn't working for me. Having not lived here very long I would like to know ahead of time what I will be voting on so I can research it. Like the constitutional language issue, and other more local things.

So other than the website that has taken way too long of my time with no results, any ideas where I can find UNBIASED information about what will be on the ballots next week?

I saw an interesting discussion about the proposed state amendments that will be on the ballot on Capitol Journal. It aired on APTV on Sunday the 28th (or maybe it was Saturday the 27th). The show page still doesn't have the episode uploaded, but it should go up any second now Capitol Journal | Watch Online | PBS Video

I thought it was pretty straight forward, maybe a little conservative-leaning, but they mostly talked about what the proponents and opponents had to say.

Thank you. That looks promising! I hate feeling like I don't know enough about what is being voted on. Hopefully I can remedy that this week.

I found this link to be helpful:

Ballotpedia:

Alabama 2012 ballot measures - Ballotpedia

It also lists all of the county specific ballot measures and the text of each measure. I printed out a sample ballot and the writing was so small I needed a magnifying glass to see it.
