Hopefully this will turn out to be no more than an investigation. I'm not so sure this is witness intimidation as much as it could be that Muncey is just concerned other officer's won't make the same mistake Eric Parker did.

Are you sure that's the same Robert Tuten? According to his biography:

Attorney Profile | Huntsville, Alabama Lawyer | Tuten Law Offices - Tuten Law Offices

He was born in 1959. The newspaper is dated 1982 which would make him 23. That seems very young to me if he was a plains clothes detective? Maybe he was off duty and made a traffic stop? That seems kind of strange too?

This article indicates he was 22 at the time of the incident.
